Well, everyone, the beybies are Instagram official. Beyoncé finally took to her social media account to share an intimate photo of her one-month-old twins Sir Carter and Rumi, and of course, it was epic. When she first announced her pregnancy, it was the photo seen around the world with her perched on her knees wearing flowers and showing off her belly. Within the day, it became the most [liked photo] on Instagram ever. This latest photo captures a similar vibe and is sure to be a close contender in the likes arena.
In this reveal image, Queen Bey is standing holding the newborns in her right arm as she wears a blue veil and an open, oh-so-perfectly draped floral robe (or at least that’s what it appears to be.) Now, it should be noted that nothing the Carter family puts out is an accident and the incredible draping that she is wearing for the photo is no different. While no symbolism has been confirmed we do have a few theories on what her outfit could mean. Our first thought is that this voluminous look could be an ode to the goddess-like styles we’ve seen her wearing since her floral pregnancy announcement, in particular, her Grammy’s performance look. Another theory that Romper has suggested is that she could be recreating the famous Madonna and Child painting. Lastly, since the sex of the twins has not been confirmed but only rumored to be a boy and a girl, the choice of pink and blue could be her confirmation of that.
